The shared spaces in this 8000 square foot home are the perfect combination of generous grand rooms and cozy nooks for all your pre and post adventure whims. The comfortable living room features a 62” TV equipped with a Sonos surround sound system. The Kitchen is fully outfitted with everything needed to cook a feast. Keurig coffee is provided 24 /7 for those early-bird mornings on the hill.

The Dining area, steeped in history, has a 12 person table with ample room to entertain. Additional seating is available in the sunny breakfast room which connects into a cozy Library-Sitting area, perfect for the morning news and a cup of coffee. (Winter) There is also a ski and bike storage room in the house with boot heaters to dry out boots! ( Summer ) a great fire pit with Adirondack chairs and a hammock illuminated by Edison lights at night.

The close proximity to Stratton and the surrounding mountains, makes Jamaicahaus a unique destination with the feeling of home. It is located walking distance from West River Provisions; the quintessential small town country store. Featuring fresh baked goods crafted by none other than my Sister (Tini Henrich and Skinny Goose bakery). You will be hard pressed to find a better start to the morning than a fresh croissant or doughnut still warm from the oven.

Dining room

There is History that has happened on this table …. add to it with your group ! this old farmers table can comfortably seat 12 ( you can squeeze in many more - we have often) Make your next meal an event or make your next event a meal … either way what a great place to sit and have yummy food , laugh and enjoy life .

Living Room

Its a bright space that’s cozy and will soon have a wood stove for those fall nights and winter times . A State of the art 62” TV with Sonos surround sound for the best movie experience ever (especially Maverick with the jets) or watching that favorite football game, Tour de France, Olympics or that downhill race you missed !

Breakfast nook- work space

Sunny mornings are great in this sitting area, It’s a great spot to enjoy some of my sisters farm fresh eggs ( always in the fridge) or better yet some of her yummy donuts from across the street - Skinny Goose Baked goods at West River Provisions. It also makes for a great place to catch up on emails or ( dare I say ) work !

Library sitting spot

Actually the favorite spot of all guests……. with Stratton Mt boys history on the wall and Henrich family photo albums in the book shelves, this area too will have a wood stove soon.. in the mean time cozy into the great couch or chairs to sip on coffee or have a beer…. and yes some goodies from next door !

Kitch’n……

mmm something smells gooood!

There is a full kitchen with everything you need to whip up a quick snack or cook a full turkey dinner ! Equipped with all you need, Pots, Pans, and bowls galore. Serving platters and paper plates for that picnic on the mountain. The fridge is big enough for you to bring your favorite foods and if you forgot something West River Provisions next door has everything you need and then some.
